About Elliot & Buttons
How Elliot & Buttons was created:
My name's Tracey Colliston and I am the creator of "Elliot and Buttons".
I grew up in the Lancashire countryside and first began sketching cute animals at a very early age, spending hours bringing characters to life on paper. I believe it all began due to my family telling me that Rupert bear lived in the woods behind my house, which really triggered my imagination! I began a career in greeting cards and my love of cute characters began to come through in the work I produced. Elephants have always been my favourite animals. It came as second nature to begin sketching them and it wasn't long before Elliot appeared. I fell in love with him instantly! Buttons followed shortly afterwards as his unlikely best friend and the two contrasting characters complement each other perfectly!
Now, my children inspire my Elliot designs with their cute and sometimes cheeky expressions. Having grown up with Elliot, they see him as part of the family.
